hi this the first time i've visited this site, just need a bit of advice.
My 15 month old son had his mmr on tues 15th Jan in the morning by the end of that day he'd spent alot of time asleep and had a fever, by the end of the next day he was really unwell and had sore eyes with lots of puss, i made him an appt with doc that afternoon, they said it was conjunctivitus and gave us some ointment along with advice on calpol/ brufen etc...
For most of last week he was out of sorts with his eyes still sore but getting better and fever on and off.
Yesterday when my husband got back from school run Oscar seemed really ill, he'd been at home for most of the day with high temps but had started to shake a bit. I got back from work and took him striaght to the doc again, at this point my husband and i noticed he had a blue tinge to his lips and fingers.
When i saw the doc he checked him over and said he had an ear and throat infection and prescribed antibiotics, oscar seemed to have a bit of a rash, i think due to high temp.
we started his antibiotics straight away. Oscar woke in the night really fretful with a temp of 103.9. at the moment we are giving him calpol and nurofen alternating between the two every three hours as advised.
Oscar has not had a smooth run with his health we have had a few hospital trips and some nasty, quite unusual infections there is a bit of a question mark over his immmune system but we're all hoping he'll grow out of it.
Sorry i know this is a really long post i just wanted to hear from anyone who'd had similar reactions and see if anyone had any advice or things towatch out for, thanks for reading

Do not vaccinate Posted - 03/12/2010 : 22:31:46
Doctors will never offer informed consent to parents regarding vaccines. If they did, then the uptake rate would reduce and so would their revenue.

I have witnessed brain damage to a person as a result of a vaccine. The parents were told it was safe to go ahead with the injection, despite their reservations. Their lives are wrecked forever.

I have used homeopathy for my baby with excellent results. I wouldn't hesitate and would see a homeopath ASAP.

Ignore these ridiculous people who advise against homeopathy, I have seen fantastic results from home prescribing.

Please do not accept anymore vaccines for your child, what has happened is disgusting and a medical disaster but no medical professional would ever admit to linking the vaccine with these symptoms.

This vile stuff (the vaccine) needs to be reversed by using homeopathy. The vaccine has sent your baby's body into crisis. All manner of substances have been injected, bypassing all of the body's natural defences.

In my opinion vaccines are dangerous, unnecessary and a waste of taxpayers money.

The end result for many parents and babies is a cruel and debilitating life.

It's ok, not an important one. I just said about my boy, his name is Oscar also. I think its unusal, to come into the internet, looking for things about what is safe for him, and find anothr Oscar in the place I look for things!!! My wife has asked if he is ok, the Oscar here, becuse of the temprature. She worries about things she dont know, but I ask.

Have they given Oscar any pro-biotics to help Oscars immune system fight the fight that he is doing just now for all he is worth? He needs them because the anti-biotics have wiped all the good and bad bacteria out ..

Good reply from Rosemary.

I do hope Oscar is improving. If you have any concerns about his health, especially your comments about his temperature don't hesitate to get your GP involved or into hospital.

Hi Estherlou,
Thinking of you & sincerely hope that Oscar is feeling much better now !
If he isn't I would think about taking him to hospital to have him checked again & to make sure his fever is kept under control
Some children don't cope with vaccines especially not the live virus vaccines.
I do agree with Gus -a homeopath can give you remedies to help with complications due to viruses [especially vaccine viruses ]eg.fever, infections etc.
Best Wishes
Rosemary

Its a fact that statisically a Doctor is the most likely person to kill you as proved by iatrogenic death rates.

And I believe Harold Shipman was a proper doctor ...

[br]Yes of course fill out a yellow card if you feel it is a vaccine reaction, that is what the system is there for.

Please don't take little Oscar to a homeopath or some other quack if he doesn't improve. Make sure he sees a proper doctor.

A proper doctor? A proper Doctor is a PHD not an MD which is only an honory title. Jabba you really need to to study iatrogenic death rates and what the true meaning of quackery is and what goes on in the medical world. For the last time a quack is a term that refers to allopathic doctors and not alternative healers. It comes from quick silver.

Do take your child to a Homeopath and ignore jabba as it can do no harm at all unlike the Doctor who can do a lot of harm.
People like jabba who knows nothing at all about alternative healing but just thinks they do want to force their narrow minded belief systems and brainwashing on to others and will act as apologists for the sickness industry even though they they kill 750,000 each year in the US alone. Its a fact that statisically a Doctor is the most likely person to kill you as proved by iatrogenic death rates.
People like jabba will always defend this type of medical quackery and junk science and try to stop us from from finding better and safer alternatives, they wish to keep us trapped in the same mental or mind control prison that they are trapped in or indoctrinated into.
We are all mind controlled from birth to think highly of Doctors when the truth is the complete opposite, jabba can not escape his conditioning, we can.

Salisbury, Wakefield, Meadow, Elliman, Fitzpatrick, Murch, Southall (pending High Court appeal) ... are all proper doctors. Even I am a properish sort of doctor (GMC no. 2702115). Antony Cox is a doctor but not a proper one. Which proper quack should Oscar go and see?

Jabba

The interesting thing about NHS 'MMR the Facts' advice is that it does not deny that children get severe reactions to MMR, it just tells you to ignore it if it happens.

http://www.mmrthefacts.nhs.uk/questions/question.php?id=79

Yesterday, I ("Pluralist") had the opportunity to challenge Anthony Cox ("Blacktriangle"), an advisor on the yellow card scheme, in Guardian 'Comment is Free'.

http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/story/0,,2252625,00.html

This was not the first time I had done it, but I had not known before that this was his job. There was no answer. The advice in 'MMR the Facts' is to disregard severe reactions and come back for the second dose. So, the the yellow card system is very unlikely to be brought into play, or the long term implications of a bad reaction to be monitored. For which reason the scientific base for the claim of general safety is also compromised.

Incidentally, I thought your tone in the last post was offensively patronising.

Here is the link for reporting suspected adverse drug reactions:
http://www.mhra.gov.uk/home/idcplg?IdcService=SS_GET_PAGE&nodeId=287
BUT the wording one uses needs to be considered carefully.
By way of warning, here is a review of the Yellow Card system by the action group Social Audit.
http://www.socialaudit.org.uk/YELLOW%20CARD%20REVIEW.pdf
If one starts reading at page 12, one will see that that if the submitted information is not clear and unambiguous, it will get reinterpreted as something more benign.
In other words, it needs to describe what 'appears to be' a serious adverse reaction in such a way that there is no possibility that it is recorded on the data base as just another alarming but common side-effect. (and note: the review demonstrates that doctors often fail at this)

Thanks for your update. I so hope you baby recovers completely from this travesty. And I hope you never, ever vaccinate him again. It is so unnecessary and no one knows which child will have that sort of reaction or which child will become autistic.

I wish you the very best.
