People with G6PD [ glucose 6 dehydrogenase deficiency ]a red blood cell enzyme deficiency cannot metabolise certain drugs, medications foods etc.I think that this problem COULD affect some vaccine damaged children, as I have researched this condition with regards to what happened to my son.
Please read this & feel free to comment on any medications, chemicals foods that your child has been affected by.
Thank You

Here is a list of drugs etc. to avoid
However there are more extensive lists out there which include foods, herbs[important if trying herbal medicine]
My son reacted to some-please also look at these lists & see if you can also identify any vaccine ingredients?

Vit K on this list.Isn't that given to newborn children? I read something recently about some concerns regarding this?

This is what I was hunting for last night - but I'm sorry it was just the drugs and the Cytochrome P450 reactions which had interested me originally. But there might be something useful here for you.

Home page - http://www.genelex.com/

[This site also refers to the ethnic differences.]

"....A recent review indicated that Asians, Pacific Inlanders, African and African Americans have higher percentages of reduced functional or non-functional CYP2D6 alleles (between 40% and 50%) than do Europeans (26%). Therefore the percentages of PMs in the former groups are most likely higher. Pacific Islanders have a high frequency (41%) of a reduced functional allele CYP2D6*10, indicating slower metabolism. Non-functional PMs and reduced function IMs represent about 50% of African populations (non functional CYP2D6*17 represents 35% of allele variation). African Americans show twice the allele frequency of PMs compared with Africans (14.5% vs 6.3%)..."

Another newish list - but once again it deals with drugs rather than chemicals and foodstuffs.

Found an avoidance list for G6PD people. It includes some Chinese herbs - via a link.

Neonates.

Interesting - via link from Neonates

Vitamin K mentioned here......

Otherwise I see no mention of vaccines.

"....Brown was a C-130 crew chief with 14 years in the Air Force. He said he was in great shape - he played basketball three times a week - and never smoked, drank or used drugs. He does suffer from glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD) deficiency, a genetic condition that is present in an estimated 10 percent to 15 percent of black men in the United States. The condition can cause red blood cells to break down when exposed to bacterial infections or certain drugs...."

http://www.taxtyranny.ca/images/HTML/Vaccines/123Vaccines.html

And....

"But according to Brown, a note in his medical records asked personnel to ''use caution" when administering vaccinations."

Ahhah - if Africans are one of the ethnic groups of poor metabolisers, could this be an added cause of dire reactions to vaccines - on top of poor nutrition, hygiene etc.???

Just a thought.

Thanks again Seonaid!
All this information is so helpful to me-hope it can help others!
Looks like I'll be doing lot's of reading tonight.

Here is one of the lists I was thinking of-but not the one with more foods & vitamins, shall keep looking.

This one includes:
food coloring
moth balls
some hebal medicines
insecticides& fungicides

viral hepatitis
pneumonia

Case reports of hemolytic anemia due to streptomycin.
Strepyomycin is in the polio vaccine.
It's neomycin that's in both polio & MMR but neomycin not on this list.
Does anyone know of other antibiotics, drugs in the vaccine that are on this list?
Thankyou

Vit K injected at birth!
Can contribute to childhood leukemia-20% increased risk.
Vit K given in hospitals is synthetic & contains benzyl alcohol.

Is Vit k given to babies in every country?
Read somewhere that people are signing exemptions not to have Vit K?

Does anyone know?

Thankyou
Rosemary
